MEDICATION MANAGEMENT

When clients are prescribed medication by the psychiatrist, they must continue to see the psychiatrist for medication management. These appointments are initially scheduled monthly and are approximately 20 minutes in length. The psychiatrist evaluates the client and determines whether to continue to prescribe the same medication or consider alternate medication options. In order to receive a refill for medication prescribed by the psychiatrist, the client must attend medication management sessions.
